Hello friends! First off, I just want to apologize my lack of posting. I have all these ideas for posts, but sometimes life gets in the way. I promise I’ll try and post more often. Anyways, so since it’s a new month that means a new Ipsy Glam Bag has arrived! For those of you that don’t know, Ipsy is a wonderful monthly subscription box where you get about 5 deluxe/full size samples of makeup products in an adorable makeup bag. These products range from makeup to beauty tools to hair products and it’s only $10 a month!
Today I made a trip to Walgreens because I heard that E.L.F. Cosmetics came out with a new Disney Princess Makeup Series featuring Belle and I wanted to check out my local Walgreens to see if they had the collection. It turns out they do, and they have another makeup collection titled Dare to Dream featuring Ariel, Pocahontas, and Mulan!
Here’s a not so great picture of what’s available in both collections:
A couple of months ago, I entered a Design a Bow contest by Mickey Waffles Bows. If you won, you got the bow you designed for free along with some other goodies. I thought this was such a neat idea so I to enter for fun and wasn’t really expecting to win. Well, I found out that I got honorary 4th place! I was super excited since I normally don’t win anything and there were a lot of great and beautiful bow designs I was competing with!
Along with my bow design I got free shipping on my order with Mickey Waffles Bows. I was excited because I had been eyeing some of her bows for a couple of weeks and to get free shipping on an order is a pretty awesome deal! I purchased the order in April and didn’t receive the bows until about the first week in June. Even though it did take a while, it was well worth the wait. I’m in love with my bows and I seriously want to plan a Disney trip just so I can show them off and wear them to the park! The bows are really beautifully made. Here are the bows that I ordered:
Captain America (winning entry)
Marie (Aristocats) Mini Bow
Peter Pan Mini Bow
After getting these bows, I definitely would love to order more! I’ve been eyeing the Mary Poppins, Bert, UP, and Jack Skellington ones. I may have to order them for my birthday in a couple months! If you would like to check out Mickey Waffles Bows on etsy and order some for yourself, click HERE.
Last week I got my June Ipsy Glam Bag and I’m totally loving it! I am super excited for this month’s bag because I finally got a nail polish!

The other day I went shopping at Target and I noticed ORLY’s Color Amp’d collection on display that is apparently exclusive just for Target. After reading the package claiming that the nail polish has “flawless wear for a week” I knew I had to try it out! You can buy one polish for $9.99 or there’s the color and top coat package for $14.99. I decided to go with the color and top coat since I thought that was a better deal. Since I wanted to try something a little different than my normal teal/robin’s egg blue colors, I bought the color The Boulevard.
I received my May Ipsy bag (like a long time ago) and I’m happy I can finally share with you my review of this month’s bag. For those of you that don’t know, Ipsy is a wonderful monthly subscription box where you get about 5 deluxe/full size samples of makeup products in an adorable makeup bag. I have a friend who is a Jamberry Nails consultant and I have been really wanting to buy some of the nail wraps from her latey, but I wasn’t sure how much I would like them. I noticed on her site that I could get a free sample to try them out before buying them so I went ahead and sent in my information to receive them. Jamberry Nails are awesome nail wraps that come in tons of different and adorable designs. I’ve never tried a nail wrap before and I’ve heard some good things about these so I thought these would be the first to try out. They are very easy to apply and take off and last a lot longer than nail polish! When I got my samples in the mail it mentioned the 7 day challenge to see how they hold up/compare to the nail polish. I thought I’d try the 7 day challenge and share with you how it turned out.
Here is what my nails looked like on day one:
I am one of those unfortunate people who is cursed with some not so great acne prone skin. I started struggling with acne since middle school. I’m currently 25 and it still hasn’t fully gone away. I tried going to a dermatologist and she said my only option was to go on Accutane and with all the negative side effects, that’s not something I’m willing to do. Plus, that seriously can’t be my only option.
Now my skin isn’t as bad as what it used to be. I’ll get a little one here and there on my face, but I noticed that my skin gets worse when I’m stressed/anxiety-ridden or when the “red devil” comes to visit every month. I’m also unfortunate enough to get it on my back which really sucks because it makes me really uncomfortable to wear tank tops and even a swimsuit. When I started using these products, I noticed my skin getting a lot clearer and looking great but then I stopped using them consistently and my skin got bad again. (I can get lazy with my skin care routine which is horrible, I know) I’m trying to get back in the routine of using these products again because I’m really tired of my skin.
Since I love these products so much I thought I’d share my opinion with you, what they’ve done for me, and hopefully they’ll help you as well. I know everyone’s skin is different and not all products work the same for every person. I’m not saying these products will necessarily work for everyone, but I believe they are great products to check out!
It’s my favorite time of the month because my new Ipsy bag came in the mail! The theme this month is Beautifully Bohemian. I was not excited at first, but once I got the bag I love it! I think it may be my favorite bag in terms of products, but I’m not a big fan of the bag itself. In case you don’t know, Ipsy is a wonderful monthly subscription box where you get about 5 deluxe/full size samples of makeup products in an adorable makeup bag. These products range from makeup to beauty tools to hair products and it’s only $10 a month!
